Max Meyer Car & Commercial Vehicle Finishes
Bailey Paints is area distributor for Max Meyer's range of car
and commercial vehicle finishes. Typical customers are commercial
vehicle operators, automotive re-sprayers, vehicle builders, and
car restorers. We distribute free of charge to account customers
in Gloucestershire, Avon, North Wiltshire and South Worcestershire,
or you can collect.
The main products we stock are:
Cellulose (BILUX) Mainly used on
older cars for touch up repairs and partial re-sprays. Cellulose
based paints are very fast drying so you can quickly build up coats
to get a good gloss. Can only be brush applied to very small areas.
Normally applied by conventional spray or can be supplied in aerosols.
Colour availability, full industrial BS and RAL, most older cars
including some metallic finishes.
Two Pack Acrylic (DURALIT) Mainly
used by commercial automotive repairers and re-sprayers. It is very
tough and gives a high gloss finish. Applied by spray. Contains
iso-cyanates so user must wear appropriate respirator. Solid colours
across the full car colour range.
Metallic Basecoat (MAXICAR) Many
cars are painted in metallic finishes. These consist of a single
pack metallic basecoat (Maxicar) protected by a 2-pack acrylic clear
lacquer (Maxilack). Applied by spray. Full car colour range.
Single Pack Polyurethane (TRUCKCOAT)
A single pack air-drying finish mainly used for refinishing commercial
and agricultural vehicles. Can also be used as a top quality finish
for machine tools as it has a good resistance to oils and mild chemicals.
A tough finish with good gloss retention. Normally applied by spray
but can be brushed. Colour availability - full BS and RAL industrial
range and most commercial and agricultural colours.
Most colours in all these finishes available ex stock in
can sizes from 500 ml to 5 litre. They are also available in aerosols.
We also stock the full range of primers and thinners. There is a
colour matching service for non- standard colours (charges will
normally apply).
