Sigma Protective Coatings
These are coatings for metalwork, normally steel, to protect against
extreme weather conditions, prolonged outdoors exposure, water,
chemicals and abrasion. Typical applications include chemical plant,
oil and gas platforms, coastal steelwork, pipelines and bridges,
indeed anywhere that metalwork is exposed to harsh conditions and
you want the paint finish to last.

one of the world's leading heavy duty coatings manufacturers. They
manufacture and we stock a comprehensive range of primers and top
coats for use in these demanding environments. We also have products
for building maintenance and floors.
We have a Sigma Intermix machine so that the full range of industrial
colours can be supplied from stock.
Sigma Products
- Fast drying single pack short oil alkyd finishes - normally
used on steelwork during fabrication (e.g Sigmasteel).
- Fast drying single pack acrylic finishes for ease of application
and good gloss retention and durability outdoors (e.g Sigmafast)
- 2 pack epoxy primers and coatings, high build finishes with
excellent durability and resistance to a wide range of chemicals
(e.g Sigmacover)
- 2 pack polyurethane finishes which combine many of the properties
of 2 pack epoxies but have much better exterior gloss retention.
Often used as a top coat over 2 pack epoxy (Sigmadur).
- Bituminous and coal tar epoxies, - excellent water resistance,
often used for protection of permanently submerged structures
(e.g Sigma TCN)
- Heat reisistant aluminium finishes (e.g Sigmatherm)
- Zinc rich and zinc silicate primers for use as part of paint
system where the highest level of anti corrosive protection is
required (e.g Sigma Tornusil)
- Internal tank coatings - 2 pack high build solvent free finishes
to protect the inside of steel tanks against corrosion (e.g Sigmaguard
EHB)
- Flooring products, - a range of single and two pack finishes
for concrete floors.
- Cladding maintenance - for use on plastisol coated metal cladding
(Sigmaclad).
